The process includes a full round of edits, which covers content as well as line edits, and then a second round where I review revisions. During content edits, we’ll look at plot, characterization, point of view, continuity, dialogue, etc. I’ll also clean up grammar and punctuation, and even brainstorm with you if you need it.
The final round is a polish from one of my excellent proofreaders, so you’ll have the security of two sets of eyes on your book.
Stuck on your back cover copy? I can work on a blurb with you too, either after edits or from your detailed synopsis.
PRICING
Current rates: $.015-.03/word, based on a 1,000-word writing sample (approx. four pages).
Turnaround times are based on book length. Novellas and short stories under 30,000 words can usually be completed in four weeks. Full-length novels may take six to eight weeks. We will schedule according to your deadline!
